Milycent Haynes

October 26, 1979 — September 25, 2019

Norristown

Milycent Haynes was born on October 26, 1979 to Joanne Beatty and Edward Haynes at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville North Carolina. She departed this life on September 25, 2019 in Norristown, PA.

Milycent was affectionately known as “Tutu” by all who knew her. Tutu obtained her GED from Job Corps in Marion, Virginia In 1995 obtaining a certification in Building and Apartment Maintenance. She continued her education and attended Thompson Institute where she completed the medical assistance program and became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2001.

Tutu’s most important accomplishment was having her two daughters Sabriah Green and Laila Holland. She was passionate about her girls and would do anything in her power to make sure they had everything they needed to learn and grow.

Tutu was a natural caregiver. She spent many years taking care of her grandparents, and spent several years working as a home healthcare provider to elderly clients. She was passionate about helping people and volunteered at meals on wheels. Her commitment to helping others was so strong that she became everyone’s favorite crossing guard in Norristown, PA.

Tutu was fun, loving and could always be counted on to crack a joke. She enjoyed gardening and letting everyone know she was a Dallas cowboys fan for life.

Tutu was preceded in death by her grandfather: Charles Beatty and grandmother Delores S. Drummond.

Left to cherish her memory are her precious gifts: her daughters; Sabriyah Green and Laila Holland; her parents: Joanne Beatty and Edward Haynes; the love of her life and fiancé Fred Ford; sisters :Joanne “Nikki” Guisburg (Leon) and Crystal Haynes; Brothers: Damond Butler and Willie Hughes; Aunt: Kim Beatty, Janet(Dennis), Charlotta (Carlton),Tonecia(Thomas) and Kim Williams, Nephews: Khalil Guisburg, Ramadhan Guisburg, Jaeed Wells and Jason Brown. A host of cousins, dear friends and other relatives.
