Neuty Mae Rawls, was born to the Late Grover Pearce, Sr and Eunice Ross, Pearce on October 30, 1938. She was the third born of five children. She grew up in Darlington, South Carolina and graduated from Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina.
Neuty accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at New Providence Baptist Church in Darlington under the leadership of Rev., Dr. Judge Pearson.
She moved to Philadelphia where she met and married Lenton Rawls, Sr. Although divorced they remained friends. She worked as a CNA nurse up until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Eunice Johns (Greg), Gregory Rawls (Charlene), Jeffrey Rawls (preceded her in death), Vincent Rawls, and Lenton Rawls, Jr. Ten Grandchildren: Melissa and Stephanie Pearce, Whitley and Patricia Johns, Greg Johns, Jr (preceded her in death), Melony and Malory Rawls, Graejarie Rawls (preceded her in death), Jeffrey Rawls, Jr and Breana Rawls. Fourteen Great Grandchildren, one living sibling: Mary R. Pearce, three siblings preceded her in death: Grover Peace, Jr, Margaret Clark (James), and Dorothy Mae Pearce. Two special nephews: Michael Pearce (Lynette) and Maurice Pearce (Sheena). A host of nieces and nephews and a loving and devoted caretaker Veronica aka Ronnie.
