Carolyn Marsh-Wideman

Carolyn left this world on February 10, 2021 at the age of 82 years young. Carolyn was born and raised in Philadelphia PA to the late Margaret Lyles and James Parker.

She attended parochial school in the city.

She married her childhood sweetheart, the late Billy C Marsh and from that union her only child, Allen was born. In later years they divorced.

Carolyn met and eventually married Julius Wideman and became stepmother to Hope Robinson who she loved as her own daughter.

Carolyn sometimes known as Funky Granny and the Sexy Senior Citizen loved life and was was full of fun and happy. Oh, how she loved to dance! She loved to travel too. It seemed that everywhere she went, she would receive compliments on her beautiful eyes.

She worked at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 25 years as a cafeteria cashier and she loved all the children in and around her life. She even worked at the corner store for a while.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Allen C Marsh Sr, three grandsons Allen Jr, Heath and Julius and her seven great grandchildren Leilani Williams, Kareem, Aliyah, Shamir, Kristopher and Madison Marsh, Dominique Walton, cousins: Carl, Patricia and Sherrie Hankerson, Linda Hankerson, Engrid Bullock, her grandson, Mark A Webb, Jr, the love of his life Ladia Adams and their new little blessing Sienna Kelli Webb, who Mom would have instantly loved and spoiled as she has so many, and a host of relatives and friends and other children who called her Grandmom.

We want to thank Joy and Tracy Coleman and Chrystal Harmon for the love, time and care they gave in sometimes difficult circumstances. And finally, the Wade St/BY neighbors and friends who shared their love and friendship over the years.
