   Eugene Geno Cherry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Eugene Cherry and Lavern Johnson on February 6, 1987. Eugene's life was cut short on March 29, 2021 at the age of 34 years old in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., due to unforeseen circumstances.
He was the seventh of ten children. He received his diploma from Simon Gratz High School in 2009. He worked as a custodian at Boscov's then former sale's clerk at Foot Locker. He was once a child of Christ then eventually transitioned his religious beliefs to Islam.
Eugene had a liking for helping people in need but he loved his basketball, music and video games. He had a keen interest in assembling bikes and furniture. Eugene enjoyed partying. He would always carry a boom box everywhere he'll go. Even though Eugene grew up with so many hardships and obstacles in life, he would always keep his head held high. Even after being dealt a bad hand. As Eugene grew older and became a father. His passion was always providing for his children. He was such a loving father, he would do anything for his kids.
Eugene is survived by his father Eugene Cheery, mother Lavern Johnson, five children Royce, Genesis, Eunique, Eugene III, Eva, eight siblings Lavern, Brian, Shavonne, Tyrone, Dawud, Akeem, Tiffany, Felicia, Rysheen (who preceded him in death) a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, family and friends. He will truly be missed.
