Gloria Graham

Gloria Jean Graham was born on May 1, 1948 to the late Alberta and Willie Graham. Gloria departed this life on March 7, 2021. Gloria was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and graduated from Simon Gratz High School.

Gloria joined Cookman in 1994 and received her Baptism. She enjoyed singing in the choir and fellowshipping with the staff Parish Relations Community. As one of the founders of the Kids Cafe after school program, she provided home cooked meals for neighborhood children and helped create a safe place for activities. She was also one of the founders of the Friday night community dinners. Gloria was a member of the Bible study group, Crochet Womens Fellowship, United Methodist Women and Sunday school. She also served as an usher. Gloria served faithfully in every way. She also volunteered at Clymer Elementary School for many years.

Gloria Graham grew up on the 1200 block of Seltzers Street where she was well known and loved by all of her neighbors and friends. She also severed on the town watch committee.

GG, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed puzzles, listening to music and dancing. Gloria's day was not complete if she did not have her pack of Winstons and a cold pepsi. She was the life of the party and would always have you laughing. She was well loved by all that knew her.

Gloria met Ronald Dawkins and of that union was born Ronald Anthony Graham also known as Sam who was the love of her life and her everything.

She was preceded in death by her mother Alberta Graham, father Willie Graham, sister Jo-Ann Graham, brother Earl Whitaker and great-granddaughter Milan Bey.

Gloria leaves to cherish her only child Ronald Graham, a special nephew Marlon Graham who was like a son to her, three granddaughters Ronyetta Graham, Roniqua Graham and Ron-Nesha Graham, one grandson Ronald Graham Jr., one step-granddaughter Ky-Yonah Young, two great grandsons Yah'Mir Bey and Yasheem Bey, one great-granddaughter Maiyah Williams, one step-great-granddaughter Karly Young and one step-great-grandson Kasaad Young, one daughter-in-law Kyesha Graham a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Seltzer Street family.
