Herman Alexander

Herman Alexander was born in Crawfordville, Georgia on July, 7 1936, to the late Sterling and Ida Alexander. Jim, as he was lovingly known by many, was one of six siblings, four of which preceded him in death, Horace, Philip, Sterling & John. At the age of three Jim’s family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

In the late 1960 ‘s Jim met Ann Gamble. They have one child together Russell Gamble.

Jim worked in construction as a laborer.

After retirement, Jim enjoyed watching cowboy movies and doing repairs around his home. Jim was a humble soul. There was not a person that was not touched by his kind heart and willingness to assist or help whenever possible.

On Friday, May 15, 2020, Jim was called home by the Lord. Jim leaves behind to mourn his loss, his devoted friend Rose Sutton, son Russell Gamble, sister Emma Wolfe, brother-in-law Henry Wolfe and a host of nieces,,nephews and other family members and friends.
