Regina Young

March 22, 1972 — June 28, 2020

Regina Le Verne Young was born in Havre de Grace Maryland at Harford Memorial Hospital on March 22, 1972 to the late Jimmy L. Young and Carolyn E. Young. Regina was the youngest of her three siblings Mike, Nadine, and Jim (who proceeded her in death) and was called home on Sunday, June 28, 2020 to be with the Lord. Regina received her education abroad in Maryland, Germany, Texas and finally in Philadelphia where she graduated High School in 1990. After high school Regina worked at a few different companies until she attended the Computer Learning Center where she received a certificate in Computer Technologies, as well as taking a few courses at CCP (Community College of Philadelphia). In 1995 -2006 Regina was working at Independence Blue Cross as a Claims Analyst while also being a full time caregiver to her mother. Anyone who knew Regina would tell you she had a heart of gold and loved to keep you laughing with her crazy stories and corny jokes her famous line was “I Hollered”, she was truly a comedian at heart. Regina did not hesitate when it came to telling it like it is (she would say “I don’t mean no harm, but…) because giving it to you straight was the only way she knew and you had no other choice but to respect her for that, no matter how upset you were at what she said. Regina was truly a fighter and will definitely be missed by all who knew her. Regina leaves to cherish her memory; one brother Michael (Mike), one sister Carla (Nadine), one nephew Rymeek, one niece Jaylah, one maternal uncle Fredrick (Uncle Elwood), three maternal aunts; Barbara, Linda, & Donna, four paternal aunts; Carolyn, Cathy, Michelle, & Monique, three paternal uncles; Anthony, Marion, & Derrick, her closet little big cousin Bastin (Barney) who was more like a brother than cousin, her work family who she adored Jeanene , Deniece , and Shanon, longtime friends Ebony & Dionne and a host of relatives, cousins, great-aunts & great uncles.
