William Peterson

February 22, 1923 — September 29, 2020

William Waymon Peterson, the second eldest child of the late Love Peterson and Bertha Conner Peterson, was born on February 22, 1923 in Eufaula, Alabama. He departed this life September 29, 2020, after a long illness. William was educated in the Alabama Public School System.

After graduating from High School, William enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Pacific during World War II.

After discharge, he joined his mother and brother in Philadelphia, PA. There he continued his education by taking courses at Temple University. He became a door to door Insurance Salesman for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company.

William spent his leisure time by golfing and reading extensively. He was a kind, gentle, loving person who endeared himself to family and friends.

William was predeceased by his parents, two sisters: Katie McCluster, Josephine Webster; three brothers: Abe, James, and George Peterson.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: His dedicated caregivers: His Sister, Mittie Peterson and Niece, Johnnie Peterson; Sisters: Daisy Peterson, and Ruthie Brito; and a Host of other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grand nephews; An Uncle and Aunt, Abraham & Johnnie Conner; and a Host of Loving Relatives, extended Family and Friends.
